Image Scrub

Remove Content Credentials and metadata from your photos.

Everything runs in your browser. Your images never leave your device.

Drop a photo here, or browse

JPEG and PNG keep full quality. Other formats are re-encoded.

Privacy by design

Image Scrub is built so that protecting your photos never means trusting someone else with them.

Your photo never leaves this device

Scrubbing happens entirely in your browser using local JavaScript. No image is ever uploaded, sent to a server, or stored anywhere. You can disconnect from the internet and it still works.

Why metadata is a privacy risk

Photos quietly carry hidden data: EXIF tags can pin your exact GPS location, time, and camera serial number, while Content Credentials (C2PA) can record an editing history and identity claims that follow the file wherever you share it.

Removed at the byte level

For JPEG and PNG the file structure is parsed directly and only the metadata segments are dropped — your pixels are kept untouched, so there is no quality loss and no re-compression artifacts.

Nothing is logged or tracked

There are no analytics, no cookies, and no accounts. What you scrub is your business, and the report you see is generated and discarded locally.
